Baseball betting and the run line
Is the run line a good bet when you are doing baseball betting? Should you be looking at that +1.5 or that -1.5? You might be looking to get a little bit of value. The truth of the matter is that the run line is often a poor bet. This is because a lot of the juice gets hidden in the run line. This means that you are paying far too much to make those bets. Likewise, baseball is a game where a large number of the games end as one-run struggles. Teams will make adjustments to their defense late in the game when they have a two run lead, often conceding runs and making a run line cover difficult.
It is usually a good idea to stick to the money line if you want to be successful with your baseball betting. You don’t need to focus on getting that big score with a run line bet. This is especially true when you are betting on the home team. Home teams find it especially difficult to cover run lines, especially when the game figures to be a close one.
