Three picks of the day: Tigers over the Twins. Yeah the Tigers got schooled yesterday, but they have Porcello on the mound today, who had been great against the Twins at home in his career (3-1 in 7 home starts vs the Twins). Besides, The Tigers are 2 GB of the White Sox, and they will take advantage of having a pushover series down the stretch.

Braves over Phillies: This one is gonna be my stretch for the day, the Phillies are favored, probably because of two things, they're at home, and the Braves offense is spotty. But the pitching matchup is definitely in the Braves favor, Hanson usually puts out a quality outing vs the Phillies whereas Kendrick is a bottom of the rotation inconsistent starter. I would say that this is the safest underdog pick of the day.

Finally Mets over Marlins: Why even bother with this game? They both suck, you never know what'll happen with to bad teams! I know, but if you take the time to read the matchup, there's almost no way the Marlins win this one. For one, Jon Niese is a soild pitcher for a crappy team, the fact that he has a winning record and good ERA says A LOT. And the Marlins have been in a tailspin all year. Put it this way, if the Marlins don't jump on Niese in the first 2 innings, the game is the Mets to lose, which they can in spectacular fashion! But they won't.

6-0 in two days. 9-0 after today.
