What a shame for such a young man that should be enjoying life, decided to end it. A great player and a nice man......RIP Junior

This is a shocking death to say the least. I hope his brain is donated because I feel this is another case of CTE possibly.

great player, but what a coward...what about his 3 kids ...most selfish act I,ve ever seen...lost a lot of respect for the guy

No kidding, what about your family? What an ass to go out like that. Who cares what he did on the football field at this point...

User1

It's all about selfishness, love of the spotlight and we see it every year when a guy can't deal with the fact that his days in the spotlight are over...

It's just sad. You have to be at an awful place to do what he did. I'm not excusing his actions, just having pity on the man for whatever led him to what he did.

brucew: you got to be careful with what you say man, you may be right, but then again you don't know what kind of condition his brain is in, from taking all of those hits in his career.

very unfortunate that the best game on the planet causes some guys serious brain injuries that cause major depression, amnesia etc...and for some the need to end it all.

User1

He will be missed for sure.

Baseball

The family Ok-ed a study of his brain and the results of it could be explosive for the league. If they find anything related to degenerative brain disease or something like that there will be a firestorm about the NFL's inability to protect its players.

well maybe the nfl should turn into the FFL Flag Football League, no more concussions, bounties and all teams will have a mix of purple, pink, bright yellows, or pretty blues for uniform colors. Look they are taking away the pro bowl bc too much scoring and little effort by players, well the pro bowl never favored defense bc of the violent (possible) hits. Yes the NFL turning into a sissy league of the sportsworld.

The problems related to repeated concussions can be best seen in looking at the high death rate of pro wrestlers of the 80's and 90's from mental health related problems.
